In 1979 Rolf Löwe founded Remisberg AG in Tägerwilen. Löwe had learned the cobbler’s trade at a sports product manufacturer. With double stitched forest boots he quickly conquered the Swiss market. Remisberg subsequently became a byword for high quality, premium forest boots. After the first, encouraging successes in the forestry sector Remisberg AG soon began to pro-duce safety shoes for industry. Because the quality strategy had paid off in the forestry sector, the highest quality standards were applied here too. Thus it was possible to acquire customers such as Swiss Railways, who place great value on the highest quality. |
| IIn 2005 the first contact was made with Hase Safety Group because supporting German customers had become increasingly laborious and was no longer affordable from Switzerland. Thus it was agreed that Remisberg’s German customers would be supported by the nationwide sales force of the Hase Safety Group. Because the founder of the successful brand Remisberg had no successor, the company was finally integrated into the Hase Safety Group in 2007. Heavy investments were subsequently made. Initially Remisberg AG changed its name to Remisberg GmbH, then it moved into new premises in more centrally located Emmenbrücke and finally it built a new logistics centre in order to optimise the flow of goods. |
